FAQs

What does a typical day in your home look like?

It varies, but in general, social daycare & boarding dogs can expect:
  • Morning restroom/playtime/social hour
  • Breakfast & after breakfast rest time
  • Daycare & boarding pick-ups & drop-offs
  • Late morning playtime/social/free time/restroom opportunity
  • Lunch & after lunch rest time
  • Afternoon playtime/social/free time/restroom opportunity
  • Daycare & boarding pick-ups & drop-offs
  • Dinner & after dinner rest time
  • Bedtime restroom/playtime/social hour
  • Bedtime for happy, tired pups!

Do you offer discounts?

  • We provide niche care and have a limited number of spaces available. We are family-owned, operated, and open our home to get to know your pups as our own. The care your pups receive does not decrease the longer they're our guests. The only discounts available are:
    • Multi-dog family discounts
    • Consecutive stays longer than 1 month
    • Credit when your referral books services

What if my dog isn't crate trained?

  • We are likely not the right fit for you. All dogs are crated during meals and overnight. If your dog is coming for training, we can get them started on crate training in your home and clean it up during their program.

What if my dog just wants to nap all day?

  • In general, they won't really enjoy their time with us. We play hard & nap hard, but usually low-energy or nap-all-day pups are overwhelmed by the high-energy dogs we cater to. We can accommodate, but our goal is always happy pups and the main question you need to ask yourself is "are you doing this for you or for them?" We've found that oftentimes, these pups are much comfier spending their time at home with either 2-3 daily visits or a house sitter.

Can my dog sleep in the same room as you?

  • No. To be fair to Sasha, she gets bedroom privileges that even Stormy & Scout do not. We have a kennel room set-up where boarding dogs have a nightly sleepover. We also pride ourselves on daily physical and mental energy expenditure that, come bedtime, everyone is just ready to sleep and retreat to their safe, quiet, and comfy crate.

My dog is coming for boarding; will you work on training while they're there?

  • No. Training spaces are limited to receive ample dedicated time and attention that is structured around the schedule social dog boarding & daycare has. We have dedicated "Board & Train" & "Train & Board" programs you can discuss when booking. Training is not available around holidays. Board & Train waitlists are generally 2-3 months.

What if my dog is not dog social?

  • Gen has many success stories of building social dogs! Please inquire about our "Doggy Day School" & "Train & Board" programs.

Can you administer medication?

  • Yes! Oral, topical, and injected meds will be administered as instructed with no additional cost.

What if my dog is a fence jumper?

  • PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!! We can work with that, but don't like surprises.

What if my dog has questionable recall?

  • PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!! We can work with that, but don't like surprises.

Will we meet your dogs? What about other client dogs?

  • No. Sasha, Stormy, and Scout are dog social but interact with humans on their own terms. Meeting new humans endlessly is very overwhelming and unnecessary for them.  Meet My Pack to check out their bio pages for a few fun facts!
  • We never introduce client dogs to new humans. I get to know every dog's personality and structure groups appropriately. We limit all introductions to reduce risks and liability.
  • We are also advocates for slow introductions amongst dogs -- another reason we keep our groups small. Your dogs will meet my dogs and our extended pack in a controlled setting when everyone is in an appropriate state of mind.
  • I'd much rather spend my day hanging out with dogs than constantly introducing dogs to humans. We understand your dogs are family -- so are ours! We send frequent photo updates and often post videos on Facebook & Instagram to help ease your mind and also unobtrusively stay connected to your pups while you're away.
  • All drop-offs & pick-ups are done outside on the porch. Please text Gen when you arrive.

What if an emergency arises?

  • Gen sends daily reports, including photos, and will communicate anything concerning so there are few surprises.
  • Urgent, but not emergent, decisions will be referred to you to make a decision on how to proceed.
  • If an emergency arises, you will be called, texted, and emailed immediately -- as soon as your dog is safe and/or stabilized. In contracting care with Sasha's Pawlz Pet Solutions, LLC, you are authorizing Gen to make emergency decisions if you cannot be reached, and decisions will always err on the side of the dog based on veterinary recommendations.
  • For added piece of mind, we have contingency plans which include,
    • A monitored home & fire security system with indoor and outdoor video.
    • A limited number of daily spaces available in the event evacuation is required.
    • Contingency plans with trusted individuals to continue care if a personal emergency arises.
    • Business liability insurance through KennelPro.
